Syracuse, N.Y. -- Former Syracuse football offensive tackle Jamar McGloster signed to the Los Angeles Chargers practice squad on Tuesday.
McGloster, who worked out for the Chargers in mid-September, is an undrafted rookie who previously spent time with the San Francisco 49ers and Detroit Lions.
A two-year starter for the Orange from 2016-17, McGloster developed into a leader on the offensive line after arriving as a relatively unheralded prospect. The New Jersey native was spotted by SU at a spring camp at Milford Academy in New Berlin, N.Y., and ultimately signed with Syracuse.
After redshirting in 2013, McGloster played sparingly as an underclassman while he filled out his 6-foot-7 frame.
