Syracuse, N.Y. -- Former Syracuse football defensive tackle Kayton Samuels has committed to Indiana, he announced on Sunday.
The graduate transfer will be eligible to use his final season of eligibility this fall.
The 6-foot, 319-pound Samuels started 24 games over three seasons for the Orange, splitting time at nose tackle with junior McKinley Williams last year. He recorded 44 tackles, including 4.5 for loss, and one fumble recovery during his time with SU.
Syracuse is expected to start Williams at nose tackle in 2018 alongside redshirt senior defensive tackle Chris Slayton.
"This past journey has been a stressful one for me," Samuels wrote in his announcement post.
