Former Syracuse football DB Cordell Hudson taken off MTSU game on stretcher

Syracuse, N.Y. -- Former Syracuse football defensive back Cordell Hudson had to be taken off the field on a stretcher during Middle Tennessee State's game against Western Kentucky on Friday night.

Hudson, who transferred to MTSU in the offseason, appeared to have his right leg get caught under a kick returner while making a tackle in the third quarter. He lay motionless on the field for several minutes as players from both teams kneeled, according to the Daily News Journal.

Medical personnel then removed his helmet and shoulder pads before placing him on a stretcher, per the report.
