Syracuse, N.Y. — Former Syracuse cornerback Keon Lyn will sign with the Washington Redskins, the Arena Football League's Jacksonville Sharks announced on Wednesady.
Lyn, who has spent parts of the last two seasons playing for the Sharks, knows the fringes of NFL employment well. Washington will be his fourth franchise since going undrafted in 2014.
The Indianapolis Colts signed Lyn as a free agent initially, but waived him in June 2014 as he was still rehabbing from a fractured kneecap. He then had his sutures removed and worked out for a handful of NFL teams in hopes of earning a futures contract.
