Syracuse, N.Y. — Former Syracuse cornerback Keon Lyn was signed to the New York Jets practice squad on Sunday, a source told Syracuse.com.
The 6-foot-1, 190-pound Lyn left SU in 2014 still recovering from a fractured kneecap that ended his senior year early. It wasn't until the Jets signed him as a free agent a month ago that he got his first chance to make a roster while healthy.
Lyn was one of the Jets' final cuts on Saturday as the team trimmed its active roster to get under the 53-man cap. He recorded four tackles over New York's first three preseason games.
