Gbinije, who split the 2016-17 season between the Detroit Pistons and their G-League affiliate in Grand Rapids, will likely play for Golden State's G-League affiliate in Santa Cruz.
Golden State also waived former Iowa State star Georges Niang. The moves allowed the Warriors to set their roster at the NBA's limit of 15 players ahead of their season opener against the Houston Rockets next Tuesday.
