Syracuse, N.Y. -- Former Syracuse University basketball player Demetris Nichols will continue his professional career in Zagreb next season.
Nichols, a 6-foot-7 forward, has signed with Cedevita, a pro team located in the Croatian capital city of Zagreb. Nichols confirmed the signing via text message.
The team announced the signing on its website and also posted a welcome video for Nichols.
Nichols spent last season with Greek club Panathinaikos. He played in 32 Euroleague games for Panathinaikos, averaging 3.8 points and 2.3 rebounds. Panathinaikos also won the Greek title. In the Greek championships, Nichols averaged 6.
