Syracuse, N.Y. -- The Fort Wayne (Ind.) Mad Ants are back in the NBA D-League finals for the second year in a row and rookie forward C.J. Fair is a big reason why.
Fair, a 6-8 forward from Syracuse University, scored 23 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead Fort Wayne to a 103-85 win over Canton on Sunday. The win completed a 2-game sweep for Fort Wayne in the best-of-three series in the Eastern Conference finals.
Fair has been on a roll since the final week of the regular season. On the last weekend of the regular season, he scored a season-high 28 points in a win over Sioux Falls that helped clinched a playoff spot for Fort Wayne.
