Five Syracuse football players receive Athlon All-ACC honors

Apparently awards season isn’t over just yet for college football. Athlon released its All-ACC team on Tuesday, and it featured five different Syracuse Orange players.

On the first-team (as he was everywhere) was wide receiver Steve Ishmael, who set an Orange record this year with 105 catches. His 1,347 receiving yards were also the second-highest total in school history.

Joining him on the first-team, however, were two Syracuse special teamers. Both Sterling Hofrichter and Cole Murphy received the honors. As a sophomore, Hofrichter was seventh in punting average in the ACC, though he wasn’t too far behind the leader (difference was 1.
