The Syracuse Orange (apparently) weren’t even sure who’d be playing quarterback before this game began. But they were probably pretty thankful that it was Eric Dungey after the Orange beat the Boston College Eagles, 42-21.
With the win, SU moves to 9-3 (6-2), and likely earns a trip to the Camping World Bowl.
Dungey did whatever he wanted in the first half, then made savvy plays in the second to keep Syracuse out ahead. He was 21 of 34 on the day for 362 passing yards and three scores (plus an interception), while adding another 34 yards and three more TDs on the ground.
