Syracuse, N.Y. — Former Syracuse standout Fab Melo is attempting to re-start his professional career again, this time signing with LSB (Liga Sorocabana de Basquete) in Brazil's Paulista League.
The team announced the contract on Twitter. LSB is currently 4-6, fifth out of six teams in its division. Melo joins a list of at least 10 other Syracuse players that have, or plan to, play internationally this year.
Melo won Big East Defensive Player of the Year with Syracuse in 2012 and became a first-round draft pick, but his off-court incidents have long outweighed his contributions in SU basketball lore.
