Syracuse sophomore Miles Robinson was the No. 2 overall selection by Atlanta United in the 2017 MLS SuperDraft on Friday, becoming the highest draft pick in program history.
It marks the third consecutive year that a member of the Orange has been drafted in the first round.
In addition, Syracuse senior Liam Callahan was taken in the second round as the 24th overall pick by the Colorado Rapids.
Robinson had a breakout season in 2016. He was a semifinalist for the Missouri Athletic Club (MAC) Hermann Award, which is the highest honor in collegiate soccer. Robinson earned NSCAA All-America first team honors and was an All-South Region first team honoree.
