Syracuse, N.Y. -- ESPN's NBA draft insider Jonathan Givony says there is speculation among NBA scouts that former Syracuse recruit Darius Bazley could skip G-League.
Givony attended the Nike Academy this past weekend where 26 current college players and 35 high school prospects worked out under the watchful eyes of NBA personnel.
Bazley, a 6-foot-9 forward from Cincinnati, Ohio, was one of the players invited to the event in Los Angeles.
Syracuse had recruited Bazley, a McDonald's All-American, as part of its 2018 class. But this past March, Bazley stunned the Syracuse coaching staff by reneging on his commitment and announcing his intention to play in the NBA's G-League next season.
