When Eric Dungey arrived to the Syracuse football program back in 2015, he was thrown onto the field almost immediately. Dungey started seven games during his freshman season and set the school record for most passing yards by a true freshman quarterback (1,298 yards).
Since then, he has opened up the last two seasons as the Orange’s starting signal caller. In 18 starts since 2016, Dungey has passed for a total of 5,174 yards, ran for 888 yards, and accounted for a total of 44 touchdowns (29 passing, 15 rushing).
Despite his efforts, Syracuse has only won eight games with him as their starting quarterback in the same time period.
