New York -- DaShonte Riley is 7-feet tall and 26 years old. He is quick on his feet and mobile for a player his size, a good shot-blocker, rebounder and former Mid-American Conference Player of the Year.
On Sunday afternoon, his defensive performance helped spark Boeheim's Army to a 72-67 win over Team FOE, saving a chance at $2 million for the group of nine former Syracuse players competing in The Basketball Tournament.
Yet for the past few months, Riley has planned to quit basketball and move on with his life, convinced to play through this summer by phone calls with Boeheim's Army general manager Kevin Belbey.
