Syracuse, N.Y. -- Eric Devendorf officially joined Syracuse's basketball program as an assistant strength and conditioning coach last fall. The former Orange guard had for years used the Melo Center to work out while he was between overseas playing gigs and had interacted with SU players during that span.
Now, he has more access and more time to communicate. He has talked with SU's guards on occasion about how to best attack the rim, how to infiltrate the lane to make plays for themselves or for their teammates. It was a skill Devendorf performed so well during his own SU playing career.
