SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Former Syracuse quarterback Eric Dungey signed with the Dallas Renegades of the XFL yesterday, the team announced. Dungey's addition to the roster came after it was revealed Dallas quarterback Landry Jones would be sidelined 4-6 weeks with a knee injury.
The Renegades are the third professional stop for Dungey. He originally signed with the New York Giants as an undrafted free agent last May. Most recently, Dungey spent time on the Cleveland Browns practice squad.
A native of Lake Oswego, Oregon, Dungey finished his career as Syracuse's all-time leading passer and set or tied 24 school records in 39 games (38 starts) for the Orange from 2015-18.
