CLEVELAND – The Cleveland Browns have signed former Syracuse quarterback Eric Dungey to their practice squad, the team announced today. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. To make room on the roster, the Browns placed wide receiver Derrick Willies on their practice squad/injured list.
Originally signed by the New York Giants as an undrafted free agent in May, Dungey was released by the Giants in July. He worked out for the Browns in September.
A native of Lake Oswego, Oregon., Dungey finished his career as Syracuse's all-time leading passer and set or tied 24 school records in 39 games (38 starts) for the Orange from 2015-18.
