Darian Chestnut added another, and the most prestigious, award to his offseason haul on Monday, earning Football Writers of America Freshman All-America honors.
Duce, who was previously an All-ACC Third Team selection and earned Freshman All-America honors from ESPN, Pro Football Focus and 247 Sports, was also the runner-up in voting for ACC Defensive Rookie of the Year this season. He was also on the Shaun Alexander Award Watch List this season.
The FWAA Freshman All-America team has been awarded since 2001 and Chestnut is the eighth 'Cuse player to earn the honor.
