Syracuse, N.Y. -- Steven Clark tried to come to terms with his situation.
The Syracuse football defensive tackle was controversially medically disqualified due to a genetic disorder that makes him more susceptible to blood clots on June 6. He explored transfer options after receiving clearance from SU, but decided he didn't want to start over at another school on social, academic and football levels.
Then, only a few days after making the choice to stay at SU on June 21, the urge to get back on the field began to grow.
On Monday, Clark spoke with The Post-Standard/Syracuse.
