Syracuse, N.Y. -- Thirty-six hours after Syracuse football's Eric Dungey turned in a career performance in the wake of a late-game benching, head coach Dino Babers shared details from his quarterback situation last week.
Babers reiterated that there was a "true competition" between Dungey and redshirt freshman Tommy DeVito, and that he didn't decide on starting Dungey until the end of the week.
"Those guys didn't know until the very last minute who was going to be the guy," Babers said at his Monday press conference, "and that's because we had to be fair about it.
