Syracuse, N.Y. — Dino Babers had never had a losing record as a head coach.
But with last week's 45-14 loss to Florida State, it dropped Syracuse football's record to 4-7, ensuring the first losing season in Babers' five-year career as a head coach.
"It's been my most challenging year," Babers said Monday morning during his weekly news conference.
"I think mainly because of the process we're doing here and making sure everyone really understands how difficult this was to go from an option-based team to what we're doing on offense, 100 percent turnaround, 360-degree turnaround.
