Syracuse, N.Y. — When Bowling Green head coach Dino Babers was made aware of a report tying him to Central Florida's vacancy earlier this week, he wasted no time in shooting it down.
Babers called the report inaccurate in a text message to John Wagner of The (Toledo) Blade and doubled down on his sentiment at his Monday press conference.
On Thursday, Babers released a statement in response to inquiries about the Syracuse opening. Dan Wolken of USA Today reported on Wednesday that Babers is the likely choice to succeed Scott Shafer at SU.
