Syracuse, N.Y. -- When Syracuse football quarterback Eric Dungey eviscerated the North Carolina State defense on Saturday night, he proved head coach Dino Babers right for the second week in a row.
Balancing a tenuous situation with Dungey, the senior four-year starter who has carried the program since 2015, and redshirt freshman Tommy DeVito, the clear quarterback of the future, Babers has displayed an impressive pulse on his signal-callers, making game-winning decisions each of the last two weeks.
After pulling Dungey late in favor of DeVito against North Carolina two weekends ago, he opened up the competition and found a way to bring out the best in Dungey against the Wolfpack.
