Syracuse, N.Y. -- Full pads came on for the first time Tuesday at Syracuse football practice.
The Orange has two more practice sessions this week before holding a closed scrimmage Saturday in preparation for the 2018 season.
A few players, including projected starting defensive ends Alton Robinson and Kendall Coleman, are dealing with minor injuries, but coach Dino Babers said after practice they should be cleared up by the start of the season.
Long snapper Matt Keller (ankle) may not be ready for the Aug. 31 opener at Western Michigan, Babers said.
Check out the video above to hear more from Babers following Tuesday's practice, including his thoughts on the young linebacking group.
