Syracuse, N.Y. -- Midway through the first quarter, Central Michigan quarterback Shane Morris connected with wideout Cameron Cole.
Cole beat Syracuse cornerback Juwan Dowels off the line and caught the pass just before safety Evan Foster arrived. Foster was late in reacting to the play, and because of that, took a bad angle and ended up taking out Dowels on his tackle attempt.
But two possessions later, he redeemed himself by snagging a tipped Morris pass and returning it 24 yards for SU's first touchdown of the contest.
"It was definitely a great feeling just because, earlier in the game, I had made a mistake and it kind of got to me a little bit," Foster said.
