Syracuse, N.Y. -- Tyler Lydon is headed to the G League.
The Denver Nuggets announced the move today. Lydon, the 24th pick of the 2017 NBA Draft, was assigned by the Nuggets to the Rio Grande Valley Vipers. Denver does not have a G League affiliate, but can assign players or transfer players to other G League teams. Rio Grande is a Houston affiliate.
Lydon, 21, had not been activated for any of the Nuggets games so far this season. The NBA allows teams to have 15 players (17 if they sign players to two-way contracts) on its roster, but just 13 of them can be active for any given game.
