Syracuse, N.Y. -- The date is set for Syracuse's home game against Georgetown next season.
The two former Big East rivals will meet at the Carrier Dome on Saturday, Dec. 8, according to a source familiar with both schools' schedules.
This will be the first time that former Georgetown great Patrick Ewing returns to the Carrier Dome as the coach of his alma. Ewing took over as the Hoyas coach prior to the 2017-18 season.
The Dec. 8 date makes sense. Syracuse officials have already announced home games on Saturday, Dec. 1 against Cornell and Saturday, Dec.
