There were no player introductions before kickoff of Syracuse’s final home game of the regular season. No roses or family photos. Certainly no senior walk after the final whistle — a tradition Dino Babers started — where each graduating player takes a lap around the field to greet fans, sign autographs, and snap selfies.
No fans to cheer for senior Nykeim Johnson’s 60-yard touchdown, or scream in agony when Rex Culpepper spiked the ball on fourth down with one last chance to tie the game.
