Cornell's left-handed goalie surprised, stymied Syracuse lacrosse in road loss

Ithaca, N.Y. -- The Syracuse lacrosse team trotted onto Schoellkopf Field Tuesday night expecting to see Christian Knight standing between the pipes at the opposite end of the stadium.

But Knight, who had started eight games and played nearly three-quarters of Cornell's minutes this season, was on the sideline. Instead, lefty Caelahn Bullen was getting the start.

Ultimately, he played the entirety of the Big Red's 13-8 victory, frustrating SU's attack and ending the team's three-game winning streak.

"I thought their goalie was exceptional," SU head coach John Desko said after the game. "I was surprised because I thought we were going to see the right-hand goalie and the leftie came out, and he really made some huge saves, especially in the first half.
