Boeheim's Army's Eric Devendorf won't back down: 'He's a warrior; That's who he is'

Philadelphia - He drained a clutch 3-point shot in the first overtime period, a corner affair that allowed Boeheim's Army 94-89 breathing room. He made two free throws with 24.7 seconds left in the second OT to inch the Army lead to 104-100.

But what Eric Devendorf did Sunday here at Philadelphia University mirrored what he has done to defenses his entire basketball career.

He got to the rim, most of the time with his left hand, and finished.

Devendorf scored 23 points in the dramatic 106-100 Boeheim's Army double overtime win over Gaelnation. That victory, hammered home after Gaelnation erased a 20-point second half Army lead, allowed the Syracuse group to advance to the Super 16 in Brooklyn on July 20.
