Atlanta -- In its best overall performance this far in The Basketball Tournament, Boeheim's Army eliminated Armored Athlete 73-69 to advance to the elite eight and preserve its chance to win $2 million.
It now plays Golden Eagles, a contingent of former Marquette players, at 1 p.m. Sunday. The game will be on ESPN.
It was a crazy close ending.
For the third consecutive game, the Army owned the lead with the first stoppage of play under 4 minutes in the fourth quarter. That triggered the Elam Ending. Boeheim's Army led 66-54. First team to 73 would win.
