Syracuse, N.Y. - Basketball has taken Brandon Triche to plenty of interesting places. His recent stop, in Israel, has been one of his favorite destinations.
He got paid on time. His team, Bnei Hertzeliya, was generous. And the amount of familiar voices there took him home.
"Israel has been the best overall in terms of lifestyle," he said during a Thursday conversation. "Everybody speaks English and there are a lot of Americans. You go to restaurants and order food and you can hear an American accent, like, 'Hey, where you from? Philly? Oh, cool.'"
Triche, 27, spent the first half of last season in Greece, where it did not go as well.
