More than $600,000 was raised at the Jim and Juli Boeheim Foundation Basket Ball Gala last Saturday in Verona, N.Y. The event was the 20th annual "Ball," and featured entertainment from singer Vanessa Williams and ESPN personality Sean McDonough, each a Syracuse alumnus.
The evening included both "live" and "silent" auctions. Donations bolster the mission of the Boeheim Foundation, which is to enrich the lives of kids in need within the Central New York community, as well as provide support for eliminating cancer through research and advocacy.
The Kelly Seubert MVP Award, named for the long-time administrator in the men's basketball office who lost her battle with cancer, was presented to Joe Quinn and Gail Page, owners of Quinn-Page Design.
