Behind Tommy DeVito, Syracuse football finally finds way to win without Eric Dungey

Syracuse, N.Y. -- Syracuse football won a game without Eric Dungey for the first time in the Dino Babers era.

The Orange's last three seasons have risen and fallen with the senior quarterback, until Saturday, when SU defeated Florida State 30-7 in a contest that Dungey exited late in the second quarter.

The last time Syracuse won with Dungey sidelined? The 2015 season finale -- Scott Shafer's post-firing sendoff -- in which SU beat Boston College on a late field goal.

"I just thought that the other elements were playing really, really well," Babers said in his postgame press conference.
