SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Syracuse University football team added another member to its incoming class today.
Defensive back DuWayne Johnson has signed a scholarship agreement with Orange and is expected to join the program later this summer, Syracuse head coach Dino Babers announced. A transfer from Arizona Western College, Johnson is a redshirt junior with two seasons of eligibility remaining beginning in 2018.
Johnson appeared in eight games for Arizona Western last fall. He had 17 tackles to help the Matadors to a 9-1 record and an appearance in the NJCAA national championship game.
