Over the last year, there have been a few big stories about former Syracuse Orange football star Tim Green, who was diagnosed with ALS in 2016 and experienced the pain of living with the disease since. Syracuse will retire Green’s jersey during the Clemson game this fall. It’s a worthy honor for one of the best to suit up for the Orange(men).
That ceremony will largely cover Green’s career at Syracuse and as a professional beyond — both on and off the field. However, Syracuse.com’s Nate Mink talks to those that know him best about what’s transpired in recent years, and how Green continues to deal with ALS with help from family and his closest friends.
