ACC Commissioner John Swofford talks sports betting, national injury report

Charlotte -- John Swofford doesn't like the optics of betting on college sports, but he's not naive to think it hasn't been happening for years and won't be any less prevalent in the wake of legalized sports gambling.

How it impacts college football and ACC schools, he said, will take a wait-and-see approach before posturing sweeping condemnation or praise.

"There aren't a lot of answers there right now," Swofford said. "I think we know what the questions are, but we don't have the answers."

Sports betting became the most interesting discussion point of the ACC Commissioner's annual state-of-the-conference address Wednesday morning to kick off the two-day ACC football media event in Charlotte.
