SYRACUSE, N.Y. – A career-high 22 points for Marek Dolezaj was not enough as #9/8 Duke (18-3, 8-2 ACC) defeated Syracuse (13-9, 6-5 ACC), 97-88, in the Carrier Dome Saturday night. It was the 10th triumph for the Blue Devils in 16 meetings between the conference foes.
In addition to Dolezaj, three other Orange players finished the game in double-figures (Elijah Hughes – 21, Joseph Girard III – 17, Buddy Boeheim – 13). Duke's 97 tallies and 31 field goals were both the most by a Syracuse opponent in the 2019-20 campaign.
