The 51st Syracuse University Men's Basketball Hardwood Banquet, presented by Printing & Promotional Solutions, is scheduled for Sunday, March 5 at the OnCenter in Syracuse.
The Vic Hanson Medal of Excellence will be awarded to Hakim Warrick '05, who played on Syracuse's 2003 NCAA Championship team and went on to play in the NBA. The honor is bestowed on an individual or individuals who have ties to the men's basketball program and have made outstanding contributions to college basketball.
Warrick was a four-year starter at Syracuse. He is one of just six players who surpassed 2,000 career points and he still ranks fifth at Syracuse with 2,073 to his credit.
