SAN FRANCISCO – Former Syracuse safety Evan Foster has signed a three-year deal with the San Francisco 49ers, the team announced yesterday. The terms of Foster's contract were not disclosed.
Foster was one of four players to join San Francisco's 80-man roster for training camp on Thursday. The 49ers also added wide receiver Jaron Brown, safety Johnathan Cyprien and offensive lineman Hroniss Grasu.
An undrafted free agent, Foster was three-year starter for the Orange at strong safety. In 46 career games (37 starts) from 2016-19, Foster logged 234 tackles, the ninth-most in team history for a defensive back.
