Syracuse, N.Y. -- Syracuse senior Kaeli O'Connor has been named to the women's lacrosse All-Atlantic Coast Conference first team in a vote by the league's head coaches.
In addition, junior Riley Donahue and sophomore Natalie Wallon were selected the All-ACC second team.
O'Connor anchors a Syracuse's defense that has held its opponents to less than 10 goals eight times this season. She is tied for the team lead in ground balls with 40 to go along with 11 caused turnovers and 16 draw controls.
O'Connor, a biology major, is one of 54 athletes in the ACC to receive the 2017 Weaver-James-Corrigan Award given at the Cone Health ACC Postgraduate Scholarship Luncheon.
