Atletico Madrid's wantaway midfielder Nicolas Gaitan has rejected the chance to join Swansea, according to reports in Spain.
The Argentina international has made just 12 appearances for Diego Simeone's side this season and is said to be growing increasingly frustrated by his bit-part status at the Wanda Metropolitano.
Swansea were one of a number of Premier League clubs keeping close tabs on his situation, but, according to AS, Gaitan has rejected to chance to join the Welsh club.
The 29-year-old is seeking a move to a club with greater ambition than the Swans, who are facing a serious battle to avoid relegation from the Premier League.
