The American heroes and transatlantic flops to play in the Premier League

After being brought in to replace Francesco Guidolin at Swansea, Bob Bradley has become the first manager from the USA to take charge of a Premier League club.

With managers seemingly hesitant to cross the pond, the players themselves have no such issues with 39 of them playing a minute or more since the Premier League's formation in 1992.

We took a look at the likes of Clint Dempsey, Brad Friedel and Jozy Altidore during their time in England, and give our verdict on whether they were a hit or a miss.

Clint Dempsey was signed by Fulham in 2006 from New England Revolution and became a cult hero as soon as he touched down in London, scoring 60 goals in 225 appearances in all competitions for the club.
