Hull spoiled Swansea's home opener in the Premier League with a 2-0 win on Saturday.
Some familiar problems resurfaced for Swansea. With Hull defending both narrowly and deep, the Swans could not find a way to turn a significant possession advantage into clear-cut chances on goal. With Borja Baston unable to play through injury, coach Francesco Guidolin had few options to change the Swans' attack after a solid first half display produced no goals. A frustrating second half saw diminishing returns for a one-dimensional game plan.
Positives
Swansea somehow managed 23 shots on goal, although many of them were speculative long shots rather than solid chances.
