Swansea City are set to offer Leon Britton a one-year contract extension after his pivotal role in keeping the club in the Premier League.
The midfielder, who turns 35 in September, has only one year remaining on his deal but Sportsmail understands there are plans to offer him terms this summer to stay on beyond next season.
It will continue a relationship that stretches back through all four divisions to 2002, barring the six months of the 2010-11 season he spent at Sheffield United.
Britton has repeatedly proved himself invaluable in the team and squad, most recently under Paul Clement.
