Manager Francesco Guidolin is under pressure to arrest a five-game winless streak but his chances of doing so against a slick Liverpool on Saturday look slim. The club's new American owners, Steve Kaplan and Jason Levien, are due to attend the match. Swansea might be hard pushed to get a positive result, but a positive performance could be enough to persuade the powers that be to give Guidolin a little more time.
It's funny how a single result can completely change the landscape of a team in crisis. Guidolin could face the sack if his side can't find a win against either Liverpool or Arsenal in the next two games, but given the obvious disparity between those sides and Swansea, that hardly seems fair.
