Swansea CIty could be poised to pull off a surprise coup with the loan signing of Renato Sanches from Bayern Munich.
Manager Paul Clement signalled an approach for the midfielder earlier this week after calling his old boss Carlo Ancelotti at Bayern and asking for the 20-year-old on loan.
Sportsmail reported Swansea's interest though they were considered far from favourites with Paris St Germain, Monaco, AC Milan and Chelsea also among the clubs to have asked but Ancelotti looks to have swung the deal in Clement's favour with talks underway.
Sanches became the most expensive Portuguese player to leave their domestic league when he signed for Bayern for £30m in 2016 with the fee due to rise to £74m.
