Leon Britton is set to remain as caretaker manager for Swansea’s Boxing Day clash at Liverpool – but insists he would reject any offer of the permanent job even if he leads the club to wins in their next three games.
The Swansea legend oversaw a much-improved performance as his side fought back for a 1-1 draw against Crystal Palace on Saturday and he has received strong indications that no permanent replacement will arrive in time for today’s match with Liverpool.
The contenders for the post long term include Frank de Boer, Aitor Karanka and Slaven Bilic, but Britton remains adamant that he has no desire to join them in being considered for the job.
