Shane Long scored the winner as 10-man Southampton beat Championship side Swansea in a five-goal thriller on Saturday night.
Nathan Redmond fired the visitors ahead in the eighth minute but Yan Valery was dismissed in the 30th minute after receiving a second booking for bringing down former Saints forward Michael Obafemi.
Piroe levelled for Swansea to send the tie into extra time and Bednarek put the home side ahead in the 94th minute but Elyounoussi equalised a minute later and Long made it 3-2 in the 102nd minute.
